About our shop

Bloodroot Tattoo is a private, appointment-only tattoo shop in SE Portland. To schedule, contact the artist you want to work with directly. We don’t have a storefront, signage, or take walk-ins, but we do have a lot of plants and natural light.

Our goal is to provide a calm and safe environment for clients who are looking to work with experienced artists. Please select an artist based on their work; make sure their style fits your project.

About our location

Formally a theater space/music venue from the 1970s to early 2000s, the historic Pine Street Studios building is now host to a few restaurants and small businesses.

Bloodroot Tattoo is located on the 3rd floor of the building. There are 2 flights of stairs. Unfortunately, there is no elevator. If stairs don’t work for you, let your tattoo artist know, and they will schedule your appointment in a more accessible location.

If you plan to park, arrive early. The spots in the small lot fill quickly, and street parking nearby is limited to 2 hours. You may need to park a few blocks away from the shop, usually across Sandy there are spots without time limits. There are also spots on Sandy that use the parking app Parking Kitty.

Try to avoid parking if you can, for example: being dropped off, biking/walking, or taking public transportation. If you do park, don’t leave any valuables, bags or visible items in your car (a good rule of thumb everywhere in Portland).
